Penny Frances Apothecary is a line of skincare products formulated with entirely natural, organic and wildcrafted ingredients. All products are handcrafted in very small batches to ensure freshness, potency and purity.
Our products are free of chemical additives and synthetic scents and are contained in beautiful, protective violet glass.
If this is your first time using Penny Frances products, we recommend that you perform an allergy test before use. This can simply be done by applying a small amount to your forearm and waiting for 24 hours to see if any irritation occurs.
We make it a priority to package our products using recycleable and reusable glass jars. We hope that you'll feel inspired to reuse your bottles and jars after they're empty. Don't hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
We accept all major credit cards through Paypal. We must receive your payment before shipping your order. If, for some reason, your payment is not made at the time of your order, we'll send over a reminder note. If we don't hear from you within 4 days, your order will be cancelled.
Our goal is for our products to reach you in the safest, most efficient way possible. All orders ship via Canada Post.
Orders are shipped every Tuesday and Thursday via Canada post
Shipping times vary from 3-6 business days within Canada.
If you are ordering from outside of Canada, please note that you will be responsible for any additional fees that may occur such as duties and international taxes.
For U.S. and International Orders: After shipping please allow another week for your order to arrive. For International Orders: Please allow up to 2 weeks for your order to arrive after shipping. Usually, it will arrive sooner, but customs departments do have the right to hold items and there is not much we can do about this. Also, we do not pay for anything to be released from customs to you.

We cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of items while in transit with Canada Post. Please get in touch if you would like to purchase insurance for your package, we are happy to accommodate.
If you are ordering from outside of Canada, please contact us with the details and we can prepare a custom shipping quote. For international orders, please be mindful of your own country's customs regulations, as we cannot be held responsible for any taxes, fees, loss or damage resulting from your package's processing through that system.
Refunds and Exchanges
Unfortunately and without exception, we do not accept returns on used or opened items. If your package was damaged in shipment by the carrier, please save the box and the merchandise, take a photo of damaged items and notify us immediately.
Please inspect your product upon delivery for any damage that may have occurred during the shipping process. If your product has been damaged please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your product at email@example.com so that a damage claim can be processed. Please provide your full name, phone number, the name of the product, a photo of the damaged item and a brief description so that we can replace your product as quickly as possible. Please note that you are not required to return the damaged product to us. An identical product will be sent to you to replace the damaged item.
It is important for you to be aware of your skin's sensitivities before using any of our products. Though we use only gentle and natural ingredients, please proceed with caution if you are at all concerned about your skin's reaction. Those who are pregnant or nursing should consult their doctor before using any product containing essential oils. Our products and the information on these pages are not intended to treat, cure, prevent or diagnose any medical condition and are not a substitute for the medical advice of a trained physician.
Also,to keep your scrubs and balms sprightly, please dip into them with a clean spoon and try to avoid introducing moisture into the jars. With a little tender care, they will last until you use them up. Butters and balms have a shelf life of about a year, keep the coconut oil based balms cool in the summer months, preferably in the fridge for hotter climes. Since virgin coconut oils melt at 24 °C (76 °F), salves containing coconut oil will melt in warmer climates. Ideally use serums within 6 months, keep cool and do not place in direct sunlight. If your Penny Frances product melts, place in refrigerator until solid. If your product returns to solid at room temperature crystallizing may occur, this only affects texture not performance of product.

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
